Dr. Rummel grew up in Columbus, graduated from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 1966 and has been practicing general dentistry ever since. In 1998 he was named a Distinguished Dentist, the highest honor awarded by the Ohio Dental Association (ODA).

Dr. Rummel served in the U.S. Army for two years as a medic. He has also served as president of the ODA and the Columbus Dental Society, and in many leadership roles of the American Dental Association.

He is a past president of the Rotary Club of Columbus, a past chair of the Ohio Tobacco Prevention Foundation, and a member of Brookside Country Club.

He is married to Nancy and they have seven children. Dr. Rummel loves the west and has a vacation home in Montana. He is an avid Buckeye fan, has served OSU in numerous capacities, and is a recipient of the OSU Heinlen Alumni Award for outstanding service to the University.

Dr. Schumacher grew up in Cincinnati and graduated from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 1981. He served as a Dental Officer in the United States Navy from 1981 to 1984, after which he joined Dr. Rummel in practice.

Dr. Schumacher is a member of the American Dental Association, the Ohio Dental Association, the Columbus Dental Society, as well as a member of the Northern Columbus Kiwanis and Past-Director of the Arlington Civic Association.

He is happily married to Laurie and has two daughters, two step daughters, and a stepson. His avocation is golf which he started playing at age 10 and never quit. Dr. Schumacher enjoys fitness activities and travel, especially to golf and beach areas. He is a staunch Buckeye fan and an Evans Scholar Alumni.

Dr. Theodore ("Ted") Bauer grew up in Ottawa, Ohio. He graduated from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry, where he was involved in numerous student organizations and student government associations at varying levels, including President of the Inter-Professional Council. Dr. Bauer was recommended to this practice by E. Gordon Gee, president of The Ohio State University.

Dr. Bauer is a recipient of the Dentistry Alumni Leadership Award, a member of the Columbus Dental Society, American Dental Association, the Ohio State Alumni Association, the Columbus Young Professionals Club, and the GenNext division of the United Way of Central Ohio.

He is an Eagle Scout, enjoys outdoor activities and recreational athletics, and enjoys supporting local establishments, artists, musicians, and performers. A lifelong buckeye fan, he is the son of two Ohio State alumni.

Michael Emrich, DDS works part-time with our practice. He grew up in Worthington and earned his degree from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry as did his father, Richard, and his brother, Steven, both orthodontists. His sister-in-law also specializes in dentistry for children. Dr. Emrich lives in Galena and enjoys boating at Lake Erie and Lake Cumberland. As a former OSU cheerleader, he stays in shape now by playing volleyball and ice hockey. He also loves people: meeting and getting to know patients and interacting with staff.
